The moon was rising behind Salisbury Crags which overlooks Edinburgh city centre and the Southside. I was beetling about different streets, lanes, hanging off fences, leaning around parked cars trying to get the best view without buildings, trees, or structures blocking the view. Then I waited for someone to walk into the frame to complete the shot. I was so very lucky that this guy stood next to the whin bush for just long enough.

The time was 16.25 on 3rd December 2025, just in case you think this might be you.
