The moon was rising behind Salisbury Crags which overlooks Edinburgh city centre and the Southside. I was beetling about different streets, lanes, hanging off fences, leaning around parked cars trying to get the best view without buildings, trees, or structures blocking the view. There were some branches in the way which is the darker shapes in front of the right side of the moon.

The time was 16.20 on 3rd December 2025, just in case you think this might be you.
