Taken 3rd March 2026 - the moon was rising behind North Bridge which sits above Waverley Station in Edinburgh city centre. The King’s Own Scottish Borderers monument has just been restored during the restoration of this 1897 bridge. You can see the fresh paintwork on the bridge on this newly revealed section.
The KOSB monument is being re-dedicated at a ceremony on 18th March with Guest of Honour Robert Aldridge Rt Hon Lord Provost of Edinburgh.
£7 from each sale of this print is being donated to the Lord Provost’s One City Trust.
“The One City Trust exists to tackle the impact that poverty has on people in Edinburgh. While we recognise that our fund cannot solve poverty, inequalities, and social isolation on its own, we believe that simple activities can have substantial and lasting impact on individuals.
In 2026 we are supporting activities which bring people who are impacted by poverty, social isolation, and exclusion together in ways which are creative, impactful and have the potential to have lasting legacy, through our annual grants programme.
